Passion

By Mabel Katz

Passion is our compass. If we trust and follow it, success is guaranteed. Unfortunately what often happens is that we go into a place of fear because trusting our passion is something foreign, so it is uncertain. It is the unknown. How many times have you been told that you are good at something and you should be doing it? I personally was told that I was good with numbers and I should be an accountant. I went for it. It took me a long time to realize that was not my heart's path. We always tend to do what gives us security because we don't enjoy uncertainty. But then we don't understand why we aren't motivated, or why we're not happy even when we're making money. Why are some people more successful than others? Perhaps some of them are doing what they love with a passion. You see, happy people create happy businesses, and people like to do business with happy people. When we are happy, we are at peace, and if we are at peace, everyone else is too. Passionate people attract customers easily. When you follow your passion, nothing can go wrong, because you are following your heart. The heart is wise and it has been patiently waiting for you to wake up. When you do what you love, money comes. Imagine making money doing something you wouldn't think of charging for because you love it so much. You see, when you do what you love, you are in the flow. It is your natural path. Notice that being in the flow has nothing to do with thinking. When you are in the flow you are not thinking, you just move from inspiration. You are fully present, at point zero, devoid of judgments, expectations and preconceived ideas of how things should be. Check it out, people with money, don't work for their money. They love and enjoy what they do. They cannot call it work, and they are willing to do whatever it takes to practice what they love. They are in the flow. They are inspired. When you allow Divinity to guide you, you find yourself in balance. You get perfect ideas and perfect relationships at the perfect time, because part of being successful is finding the right team to support you. Realize you are not perfect, and you don't have to be. But you are unique, you were created to do something better than anyone else. It is important to know that others can do things that you can't, so when you allow them to collaborate using their own unique talent it enhances yours. Once again, the right conditions, relationships and ideas will show up in your life when you realize you don't know anything and accept that God knows what is right and perfect for you. Your passion, enthusiasm, faith and humbleness will maintain you in the flow of life. This works for everyone. It doesn't matter if you have a University degree or not, if you have money or not. We all were born with it. We just need to remember. Know thyself. Find your true passion and follow it wherever it takes you. As soon as you realize that you have been asleep and become aware that it has been you all this time blocking yourself with thoughts such as, "There's not enough out there," "I don't deserve it," and "I'm not good enough." When you realize you are the creator, that there is no one else, you will be automatically in the flow and your negative programming will become disabled. You will discover that even though things might not have changed on the "outside," you are okay. You will be happy. You will feel free and at peace.

Awareness Meditation

By Richard Shelmerdine

The general aim of meditation is awareness, so I made a meditation called Awareness Meditation. The problem though with a beginning meditator is that their mind is focused on objects (form). It is a pretty tough habit to break too. At the start, you will have to learn how to focus your mind on objects. This is why a lot of spiritual masters recommend focusing on your breathing in the beginning before moving up to higher levels of awareness.

Gautama Buddha began by bringing conscious awareness to his breath but he did not stay at this level for his whole life. He transcended it and moved to a new level after this. If you tell a beginner spiritual seeker that you just have to focus your attention on inner stillness they will just give you a motionless stare of try and make some kind of belief or sense out of it. The mind has to be coaxed slowly and taken by the hand.

When meditation is upon things that are in form, you are not completely aware of your formless dimension but you are getting there and it is a start. It will concentrate your mind and it stops the idea that you are a body or a thought or anything else in the physical or mental dimension. When you are totally focused, your mind is still because its not running around with thought.

When you get used to this state and you become a master of it you will start to experience the beauty which cannot be described in words. It is infinitely times deeper and more beautiful than anything physical. It is connection to the source of what you are. The origin of creation. You can see this is somebodies eyes who has recently bought a child into the world and they become more alive and childish looking. Everything else becomes less serious.

Removing The Crutches

Now that you have got to the place of a still mind, you are ready to put your crutch down of concentration on objects and experience it as your natural state. What you have to do is switch your concentration from external views to awareness of being aware itself. This seems really complicated but it is actually the natural state under mental noise.

My technique to get there is to sit cross-legged in a dark room. I sit in a dark room because I want to stop my mind from focusing on external objects and I close my eyes so that I can gain as much focus and keep all my energy inside me. What I do is sit at the gate of my mind which is where things come in and go and just be aware intensely. At the start my mind is usually pretty busy with on-goings from the day and I have to just become aware of thoughts as they come and go. I aim to stay focused on awareness and the inner stillness though but do not get angry or unsettled if thoughts pop up. When you realize that a thought has took your attention somewhere else on a little trip then just look at it, forgive it until it goes back to the silence from where it came.

Eventually you will get to the point where you are just timeless awareness purely. You are not even able to access thoughts or feelings or body. Your mind is silent and your body can just be sensed as invisible energy. It is an amazing experience. You can tell how close you are to full awareness by the inner peace that you can feel. When you get to that state, every time you connect with it the longer you stay there it multiplies deeper and deeper. IT is a little scary at first but only to your mind. Dip your toes in initially and go into it with degrees.

If you feel like your mind is too active then just accept your state silently inside. Move from that point. I cannot tell you how long to get to this state because it is essential that you acknowledge timelessness and forgetting time and transcending time which is a thought form is necessary.

The Stateless State

When you learn how to get this state, the feelings will come up more and more in your life. You will feel inner solitude and silence wherever you go to and you can make the state bigger and amplify it at any time. If you are struggling to find an answer then go to this place through meditation and you will get an answer. God will speak his truth to a silent mind through feelings.

Your Minds Resistance

Your mind is always going to resist getting in this stateless state. ALWAYS! It will make up stupid and not logical excuses to stop you and to distract you from getting there. It is doing this because it is fighting for its life and existence like everything else on this planet. It has control of you now and wants to maintain the current status If you want to control your mind like nature intended then you will have to see through these silly games and illusions and put yourself into this deep meditative state. This is the hardest part.

One night before I went to bed after getting a lot of the control back from my mind I was imagining and visualizing that I was inside my body looking out of my eyes. I was getting up the following day turning off my alarm and getting into the shower. Simple. I stopped meditation and then went to sleep. I woke up in the morning and was aware that my mind was telling me "Richard, you have reset your alarm for an earlier time so go to bed for a little longer". It was not anything like the "just close your eyes for a little longer" thought that most people get. It was scary and I got straight up. This all happened after just one hour of deep meditation each day for 4 days in a row. Amazing results in such a short time.

Your mind is and always will be full of illusions that come out as concepts. Reality is consistently shifting and changing, we all know this. The problem with concepts is that they are solid and do not shift with reality. Something has to change. Reality is not going to stop shifting so you will always experience disillusion if you see life through concepts. I once read that when Buddha was sat in the Lotus position under the tree shortly before he reached enlightenment, he saw men on horse running towards him fast. His mind was trying to trick him but he saw through the illusionary concept.

Appreciation

I found that without conscious effort, after my meditations I just started appreciating things. My fears all went because I no longer feared death. It fell to the side in place of gratitude and love. My sleep became incredibly deep and restoring. It felt as if I went to some other dimension and came back to this physical body after years totally energized. I would awaken extremely alert. I started to gain the knowing that life lived through me rather than I was living through life. I touched immortality in the human spirit and it' is breathtaking.

A few days ago I bought myself a new matching winter coat and hat and it made me feel fantastic. It felt like I just had everything I ever wanted. I felt like millionaires think they will feel beforehand. It was like love and gratitude just burst through my chest. I felt like a child again, limitless. when the furore died down I had the aura or gratitude for days. Go to this place, it is beautiful, all answers are found there and it is the most natural thing in the world.

The True Nature Of Inner Peace

By Roy Klienwachter

In the greater picture there is only peace; peace is what you are by nature. It is humanity which has created chaos, unrest and war for its own purpose - war is not the natural of spirit. From the even greater picture; from that of the creator, then all is as it should be.

Forgiveness is not necessary and inner peace is always immediately available to those who would experience it. The "One Mind", "Creator" or "God" is emotionless energy. We live in a body of thought energy, and we are individualized pieces of that body as a wave is to the ocean. We are never at war with another, because there is no other; we can only be at war with another aspect of ourselves. Because we are all one in the bigger picture we can only interact with ourselves.

Your right hand cannot hit your left hand, unless your left hand is in agreement. The right and left hands are part of the bigger body; they are aspects of it and therefore have the same characteristics as the other parts and are commanded by the same thought process - the mind!

The physical body is a physical manifestation of how mind has perceived itself. It created all these parts so that it may experience itself as this or that or one thing or another. It is the human mind that creates all its own experiences. Man was given domain over himself so that he could create and recreate all that he experiences and in any manner he sees fit.

If humanity were to continue in spirit, it would create itself in ways that were harmonious with spirit, and chaos, war, and conflict would not be experienced in his reality. There are no wars, murders, violent acts or natural disasters where man is involved that at some level of his consciousness, he didn't create himself or agreed to be a victim of it.

Humanity would be at peace if it thought about peace. You cannot know inner peace at the same time you are looking for it. You are either at peace or you're not.

Peace is a personal aspect of all living things; we came from a peaceful place. Peace starts with the individual. If every individual was peaceful he would not think about conflict, and who would he fight against. While you are talking to your friends about war, you are not at peace. While you are watching, or listening to the news about war, disasters, accidents, the economy, etc; you are not at peace. Every year when you pin that Poppy on your lapel you are contributing to the awareness of war, not peace. It is war or conflict that is on your mind.

When you support your soldiers and stick the ribbon on your car you reaffirm that there is a war or conflict somewhere. It doesn't matter what the reason is for war - both sides have reasons. War is simply a statement, a symbol of our inability to settle an issue without violence. It is a display of how immature we really are. War is an obvious symbol that we do not know inner peace in the moment. We are always at war with something when we are not at peace.

It is the natural aspect of all living things to better themselves. All things evolve to a better or more advanced version of itself. We cannot possibly call ourselves an advanced society while war or conflict is how we settle differences. God, the universe, the one mind or whatever you call it; does not support destruction of any kind. God does not support either side in any conflict. The truth of it is that which created us does not support peace or war. The only purpose to you being here is to have the freedom of unconditional love to be able to experience either. We experience conflict because we choose to at some level of our consciousness. We experience peace when the same mind decides that this is what it wants. Life was never meant to be a struggle. Life is abundant and the only lack exists in the mind. Inner peace is always with us if that is what we could choose.

None of us are victims in the truest sense of the word. We are all creators and participators and are therefore able to experience anything that we desire. I cannot hit you or hurt you unless you agree to it at some level. You always make yourself available at the correct time and place for this kind of an event to happen - most of the time this is not a conscious decision and therefore not understood by the conscious mind.

You cannot buy a loaf of bread unless you know where to go to buy it. You cannot have peace unless you know where to get it. You may starve to death if you wait for someone to bring you the loaf of bread. Likewise you may die if you wait for someone else to bring peace to you. By your very nature peace is what you are. War is artificial; you are creating it in your reality by having it in your mind and heart. War is something that could never be experienced if no one thought about it and conflicts would simply be opportunities for growth. Each of us creates what we experience, whether it is inner or outer peace.

Although humanity has made enormous strides technologically, he has done very little to improve himself. He uses outdated philosophies, ideas, religions, and methodologies to create a new future. He keeps hitting himself over the head with the same hammer expecting to experience something new - it doesn't work that way.

If war and conflict is what has been taught to us to settle differences and it isn't working, then we need to examine those teachings. If our religions are teaching 'an eye for and eye, and a tooth for a tooth' then this needs to be changed. If we are still listening to Grandma and using lye soap on our cloths and stones to beat them and they are falling apart; maybe we should rethink why it's not working.

The age of Dinosaurs gave way to mammals, because the mammals were smaller, more agile and faster thinkers. Every generation of humans are destined to replace their previous generation. Peace can never be experienced if the new generation does not change the way they interact with each other. A bad idea is just a bad idea. An outdated thought is just that. Some things just no longer apply. War belongs in a museum and used only as a way to demonstrate to the new generations of how not to do a thing. Acceptance of all things as they are being in the correct time and place would lead to inner peace without being in conflict with that which was.

All of us are at peace until we make a move away from it. Peace is all there is and war is an error in thought. It has never been demonstrated that war will create peace - it doesn't work that way. Memories of war and injustices go deep and at some point they manifest themselves in violent ways whether you think you have peace or not. Inner peace can never be found while you are looking for it. Accept that peace is who you are and you will know peace in time of conflict.
